Big Vig Information

The Big Vig 6
June 19th, 2010
1:00 until 10:00
Darron & Geralyn's House

Are you planning on coming to the Big Vig?
If so, please send an RSVP that includes your name and the number of guests you plan on bringing to bigvig24 at gmail.com.

Just where is Darron & Geralyn's house?
If you've never been to The Big Vig before, and you need directions, please email either Dan or Darron Vigs (email addresses at bottom of post), and we'll get back to you with directions.

I want to bring food and/or drinks to The Big Vig - what should I bring?
The Big Vig is happy to serve hamburgers, hot dogs, small skewers of grilled lamb, beer, iced tea, water, and cake...anything else is up to you. We can always use sides (salads, appetizer type things, etc.) and desserts (cookies, brownies, Italian ice from Libby's, etc.). If you plan on bringing food, please consider bringing items that are able to sit outside on warm days without too much trouble, and food items that are easy to pick up and eat by hand. Please be aware that The Big Vig has no extra fridge or cooler space, so if you plan on bringing something that needs to be cold, plan on bringing a cooler along as well. Want to bring meat? The Big Vig proudly stands behind its "you bring it, we'll grill it" policy.

If you plan on bringing a food item of any type, please leave a comment at the end of this post describing what that food item is going to be. This way, other people can get an idea of what is needed, and what is already covered. We don't want to repeat the infamous "pasta salad debacle" of 2005 now, do we?

What else should I bring?
A lawn/folding/camp chair is advisable if you plan on sitting down at all. The yard is shaded in the afternoon/evening and can get a bit cool even on a warm day, so if you're in for the long haul, bring some warmer evening clothes. Bug spray might come in handy. Other than that, bring whatever else you might want.

Will the port-o-potty be at The Big Vig 6?
You know it will.

Are children welcome at The Big Vig?
Of course they are, this year we're even trying to find something to entertain them. We're currently leaning towards a large, inflatable structure of some sort that will allow them to bounce their little heads off all day long.

Will there be cornhole?
Yup. Most likely at least 2 sets for all the bean bag tossing action you can handle.

I want to come set up a grill and cook somthing special and/or play music - can I do that?
There is a good chance you can. Please get in touch with Dan or Darron to work out the specific details.
